Position Overview

Georges Media Group is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Account Executive within our Baton Rouge area advertising sales team to drive growth through new client acquisition and account growth. This role is designed for a competitive, results-oriented sales professional who thrives on prospecting, opening doors, and closing new business.

The ideal candidate is laser-focused on identifying untapped opportunities, understanding client goals, and delivering integrated advertising solutions that move the needle. This position plays a critical role in expanding our advertiser base and introducing new clients to The Advocateโ€™s full portfolio of trusted print and cutting-edge digital products. The Account Executive will be able to sell Georges Media Groupโ€™s full suite of print publications, digital marketing tactics, digital out-of-home, and event sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new advertising clients through strategic outreach, networking, and market research.
  • Consultative Selling: Discover client objectives and develop customized advertising solutions using our full suite of print and digital offerings.
  • Multi-Platform Expertise: Present and sell cross-platform campaigns including print, SEM, SEO, social media, OTT/CTV, targeted display, Amazon advertising solutions, and more.
  • Digital Leadership: Stay current on emerging media trends and confidently position digital-first and integrated strategies to new advertisers.
  • Competitive Conquesting: Successfully convert advertising dollars from competitive media by articulating the value, reach, and ROI of The Advocateโ€™s solutions.
  • Relationship Development: Build strong, long-term partnerships with new clients by delivering results, insight, and exceptional service.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and activity reporting while providing insight into market trends and competitive activity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and industry events to sharpen sales skills and stay ahead of evolving advertising solutio
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience required.
  • Strong understanding of todayโ€™s marketing/advertising ecosystem, including both traditional and digital media.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage time, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
