Are you a driven business development professional who thrives on creating new opportunities, influencing key stakeholders, and delivering measurable business results? We're looking for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to lead growth across our Cisco Central & West Territory, with a primary focus on expanding the adoption of Cisco Security solutions. This role will drive strategic initiatives, deepen partner relationships, and accelerate revenue growth across Cisco's industry-leading security portfolio.

In this highly visible role, you'll work closely with Cisco, partner organizations, and internal sales teams to develop and execute growth strategies that deliver business impact. About the Team

The Cisco Market Development team is responsible for driving Cisco growth across a defined partner ecosystem. We work at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering closely with Cisco, Sales, and business unit leaders to create pipeline, drive key Cisco priorities, and help partners scale their Cisco practices.

This role will have a strong emphasis on Cisco Security, helping partners identify new opportunities, expand security-focused solutions, and drive growth across Cisco's security portfolio. The team is focused on delivering results across strategic initiatives, including security modernization, renewals, Enterprise Agreements (EA), AI-driven opportunities, and broader Cisco growth programs.

Drive Growth & Business Expansion

  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies focused on accelerating adoption of Cisco Security solutions and services.
  • Identify emerging cybersecurity trends, partner priorities, and competitive opportunities to drive market expansion.
  • Build and execute business plans that increase security revenue, profitability, and partner engagement.

Lead Consultative Sales Efforts

  • Position Cisco Security solutions by understanding partner and customer cybersecurity challenges, business objectives, and risk management priorities.
  • Present strategic recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Drive opportunities from discovery through execution, helping partners expand their security practices and security-related revenue streams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (high school diploma or equivalent required).
  • Experience in technology, distribution, channel sales, or partner ecosystems.
  • Experience with Cisco Security solutions, cybersecurity technologies, networking, cloud, or related technology portfolios.
  • Background in consultative selling, market development, or strategic business planning.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $58,000.00 - $98,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
