Full-time

Job description

Since our founding in 1996, Numerix has been at the vanguard of financial technology, providing quantitative analytics and software that redefine pricing and risk management across the financial markets. Through recent strategic acquisitions, Numerix has further strengthened its leadership position, empowering financial institutions worldwide to transform risk into opportunity with confidence. As AI reshapes capital markets technology, Numerix is focused on combining the speed and flexibility of AI with the deterministic, auditable, and governed calculations that financial institutions require.
We are seeking a driven Business Development Associate with 2-4 years of SDR experience who is ready to progress from setting meetings to running deals. In this hybrid role, you will own the full sales cycle for smaller opportunities while sharpening the skills - discovery, deal strategy, stakeholder management, and close planning - that define elite enterprise sellers.
Our sales motion is powered by Claude AI across account targeting, pre-call planning, and post-call coaching. Candidates already fluent with Claude or comparable AI tools will hit the ground running and have a clear advantage from day one.
A Stepping Stone to Full Account Executive
This role is purpose-built for experienced SDRs who are ready to take the next step toward a full-cycle closing role. You will own the complete sales motion for smaller size deals - from first outreach through signed contract - while continuing to prospect and qualify larger opportunities that you will hand off to our Senior Account Executives. It is the ideal bridge between top-of-funnel mastery and full-stack enterprise selling.
How We Use Claude AI on This Team
Our sales motion is built around Claude. We use it to identify and prioritize target accounts based on market signals, build deep pre-call research and talk-track briefs, analyze call recordings for coaching and deal inspection, and sharpen outbound messaging. Sales Executives who join with hands-on Claude experience - whether from prior roles, personal projects, or genuine curiosity - will contribute meaningfully from day one.
What You'll Do:
Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
  • Own outbound prospecting across your assigned territory using account-based strategies, targeted research, and AI-assisted signal identification.
  • Use Claude AI to build pre-call briefs, personalize outbound sequences, and identify relevant buying triggers.
  • Book and attend qualified meetings with decision-makers, bringing insight and preparation that sets the tone from the first conversation.
  • Qualify all inbound and outbound opportunities using MEDDPICC and route them appropriately based on deal size.

Full-Cycle Ownership (Smaller Deals)
  • Run the complete sales cycle for smaller deals - from discovery and demo through negotiation and close.
  • Uncover customer pain, business drivers, and decision criteria to build a compelling case for change.
  • Manage stakeholders, set clear next steps, and maintain deal momentum through signature.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline hygiene, and forecast discipline in Salesforce.

Handover & Collaboration (Larger Deals)
  • Qualify and document larger opportunities thoroughly before handing them off to Senior Account Executives.
  • Deliver structured handover briefings that capture buyer context, pain points, stakeholders, and deal dynamics.
  • Stay involved in larger deals as a support resource where appropriate, deepening your exposure to complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Participate in post-call coaching sessions supported by AI-assisted call analysis and deal inspection.
  • Leverage Salesforce, Clari, Highspot, and Claude AI to run a modern, disciplined sales motion.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2-4 years of SDR or business development experience in B2B SaaS, FinTech, or financial services - with a strong, verifiable track record of hitting and exceeding quota.
  • Demonstrated readiness to move beyond top-of-funnel work; experience running discovery calls, demos, or early-stage deal cycles is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude AI or comparable large language models - for prospecting research, outbound writing, or call preparation - is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency with structured sales methodologies; MEDDPICC experience or training is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce; familiarity with Clari and Highspot is an advantage.
  • Genuine competitive drive - you are motivated by closing, not just connecting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging senior buyers and technical stakeholders.
  • Organized, disciplined, and reliable in follow-through - you treat your pipeline like a business.
  • Intellectual curiosity about financial markets, trading technology, and how sophisticated institutions manage risk.
  • Coachable, adaptable, and hungry to keep raising your ceiling.

Extra Credit:
  • Prior SDR or BDR experience selling into financial services, trading firms, asset managers, or hedge funds.
  • Familiarity with firms trading derivatives, fixed income, and/or structured credit.
  • Experience with trading or risk management software.

Where You'll Work:
This is an onsite role open to candidates who reside within commuting distance of our bright, new Numerix headquarters at 100 Park Avenue in New York City.
An important note on salary:
The annual pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location listed above. If you are applying from a location that is not the preferred primary location, please keep in mind that the salary range may vary and may fall outside of what is listed.
