Job description

Strategic Employment Partners (SEP) is a recruiting firm rooted in the Greater Boston area, placing top talent nationwide with deep expertise in technical, sales, finance, and accounting roles. We partner with scaling companies, venture-backed startups, and industry leaders to ensure their recruitment process runs efficiently and successfully.

We are not a traditional recruiting firm. We build internal AI tools, automate workflows with Claude, and operate like a tech-enabled business that happens to specialize in talent. Every person on this team is expected to use AI daily, think in systems, and get sharper over time. If that is how you already work, you will fit here.

The Role

We are hiring a Sales Development Representative to drive new client acquisition. This is not a role for someone who wants to send generic outreach and wait. You will use AI tools, primarily Claude, to do high-quality research, write sharper outreach, build prospect lists faster, and find angles a manual process would miss entirely.

The volume is real, but the work is intelligent. You will build and reuse prompt workflows, automate the repetitive parts of prospecting, and spend your time on conversations and decisions, not copy-paste tasks.

The path forward is Sales Associate, a full-desk recruiter role with commission and placement bonuses. If you learn the tools, own your numbers, and develop market knowledge, that move happens fast.

Responsibilities

  • Use Claude daily to conduct account research, build lookalike company and contact lists, and identify hiring signals before reaching out
  • Build, refine, and reuse prompt workflows in Claude that compress hours of prospecting work into minutes
  • Draft and personalize outbound email and LinkedIn InMail with AI assistance, keeping message quality high while running volume
  • Work LinkedIn project lists daily to identify and contact companies that are actively hiring
  • Source hiring managers through job boards and LinkedIn and reach out same day
  • Execute LinkedIn InMail campaigns targeting prospective clients and decision makers
  • Own and maintain a re-engagement list of past clients, old leads, former job order companies, and lost opportunities
  • Log all activity, contacts, and outcomes in HubSpot CRM daily
  • Book introductory meetings for the senior recruiting team
  • Collaborate with recruiters on candidate-driven outreach and develop market knowledge over time

Tools & Tech You'll Use

  • You do not need prior experience with all of these. We will teach you the stack. What we require is that you are genuinely excited to learn and pick things up fast, especially on the AI side.
  • Claude (Projects & Cowork) — Your primary tool. You will use Claude for account research, building prospect and lookalike lists, drafting and refining outreach, summarizing calls, and building reusable prompt workflows. Comfort here is non-negotiable.
  • HubSpot CRM — Daily command center for logging activity, running sequences, and tracking pipeline from first touch to booked meeting.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter & Sales Navigator — For finding hiring managers and decision-makers, running InMail campaigns, and working targeted project lists.
  • Crelate (ATS) — Our applicant tracking system. You will see live job orders and hand off qualified opportunities to the recruiting team.
  • Perplexity — Real-time company, market, and industry research. You will walk into every call informed.
  • JuiceBox — AI-assisted prospecting that helps you reach more of the right people, faster.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools is required. Claude specifically is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI for real work: research, writing, list-building, summarization, or workflow automation
  • 0–2 years of professional experience. Sales, recruiting, or business development is a plus.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and sending outbound messages at volume
  • Genuinely curious about AI and automation. You should be constantly looking for faster, smarter ways to work.
  • Strong written communication. You will write outreach every day and the quality matters.
  • Self-directed and coachable. You will have a clear workflow but need to own your activity and numbers.
  • Experience with HubSpot or LinkedIn Recruiter is a plus, not a requirement
  • Located in or near Quincy, MA; able to commute to our downtown Quincy Center office Monday through Thursday

Compensation & Benefits

  • Bonus eligibility from day one. Earn on booked meetings and deals closed by the team.
  • Clear path to Sales Associate (Full Desk Recruiter) with commission and placement bonuses
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Office competitions with cash prizes and extra days off
  • Modern office in downtown Quincy Center, steps from the Red Line MBTA T stop, with a team that invests in your growth
  • Hybrid schedule — in office Monday through Thursday, with flexibility on Fridays
