Demo & RMA Specialist

ACT ENTERTAINMENT

JOB DESCRIPTION


DEPARTMENT: Operations FLSA: Non-Exempt


REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for coordination of ACT Entertainment Demo and RMA activities in the warehouse. These duties include warehousing, shipping/receiving, order tracking, on-time deliveries, testing and packaging products, cycle counts, testing, and other duties as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare shipments by packing, protecting and labeling boxes; including domestic and international pickups, monitors all shipments in-transit.
  • Coordinate activities between the warehouse and service departments.
  • Document items shipped, verifies identifying information and quantity and condition of items shipped.
  • Process orders received, inspects the condition of items, compares count to purchase order/packing list, and documents any discrepancies.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts, replenishing items as needed.
  • Perform final assemblies and sub-assemblies, including labeling of components, visual inspection for proper placement.
  • Perform quality checks according to specification sheets.
  • Generate purchase orders for marketing vendors and intercompany shipments.
  • Utilize tools for demo tracking software, (TrackIt) as well as internal inventory software (Microsoft AX).
  • Provide team support.
  • Perform testing and preparation of demo equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years previous warehouse work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of moving lights a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Strong adherence to safety standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand.
  • Ability to move around the warehouse
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
