What is a sales base?

Sales Base jobs refer to positions that focus on the foundational aspects of the sales process within a company. These roles often include tasks such as lead generation, customer outreach, maintaining sales databases, and supporting sales representatives. People in Sales Base roles typically serve as the backbone of the sales team, ensuring that sales operations run smoothly and efficiently. They may also assist in tracking sales metrics, preparing reports, and managing customer relationships. These jobs are ideal for individuals looking to start a career in sales or support sales teams in achieving their goals.

To thrive as a Sales Representative, you need strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, often supported by a background in business or sales. Familiarity with CRM software, sales automation tools, and sometimes specific product certification is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, resilience, and the ability to build lasting relationships make someone stand out in this role. These qualities are crucial for driving revenue, meeting targets, and fostering long-term client engagement in a competitive market.

Build a Territory. Build Relationships. Build a Career.
Are you a motivated sales professional who wants greater ownership of your income, your territory, and your career?
Join an established industry leader and help commercial customers protect their facilities, employees, customers, operations, and brand reputations.
We are seeking a driven and professional Commercial Sales Representative to develop new business within an assigned territory. You will work directly with business owners, property managers, facility leaders, hospitality operators, healthcare organizations, food-service businesses, warehouses, and other commercial decision-makers.
This is not simply a transactional sales position. It is a consultative B2B opportunity for someone who can identify customer risks, develop tailored solutions, and build lasting commercial relationships.
What You Will Do
  • Develop new commercial business within an assigned territory
  • Identify and pursue qualified prospects through field activity, referrals, networking, strategic account development, and outbound prospecting
  • Build, manage, and advance a disciplined sales pipeline
  • Conduct professional interior and exterior property inspections
  • Identify customer needs, operational risks, and service requirements
  • Develop and present customized commercial pest-management solutions
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business
  • Build long-term relationships with business owners and commercial decision-makers
  • Maintain accurate prospecting, proposal, sales, and follow-up activity within the company CRM
  • Collaborate with service and operational teams to ensure a professional transition from sale to service
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to customer value

What Success Looks Like
Successful Commercial Sales Representatives are disciplined prospectors, trusted relationship builders, and accountable territory managers.
They consistently create new opportunities, maintain an active pipeline, follow through on commitments, and communicate professionally with customers at every level of an organization.
This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working independently, competing for results, developing business relationships, and being rewarded for performance.
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, resilience, and personal accountability
  • Ability to prospect consistently and create new business opportunities
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up capabilities
  • Confidence communicating with business owners, managers, and commercial decision-makers
  • Ability to manage a territory and sales pipeline independently
  • Professional presence and a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to conduct interior and exterior commercial property inspections
  • Ability to climb ladders and access inspection areas when required
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • B2B sales, outside sales, territory sales, account management, or business-development experience preferred
  • Candidates from other industries will also be considered when they demonstrate professional maturity, coachability, a strong work ethic, and a documented history of achievement.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission
  • Earnings support during the initial training and development period
  • Average annual earnings of approximately $65,000+
  • Top performers earning $90,000 or more
  • Company vehicle
  • Company-provided iPad and cellphone
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off
  • Paid training and ongoing professional development
  • Performance incentives and bonus opportunities
  • Recognition programs and President's Club opportunities
  • The stability of an established company trusted for more than 88 years

Why Join Us?
You will be representing an essential commercial service backed by an established and respected organization.
