General Description:

The Sales Agent is responsible for generating new business and managing client relationships through consistent, in-person engagement within an assigned territory. This role focuses on developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects, delivering consultative sales presentations, and contributing to overall agency growth and profitability.

The position requires regular travel and a high level of autonomy, as the Sales Agent operates primarily in the field. Success in this role is driven by the ability to build trusted relationships, identify client needs, and deliver solutions aligned with those needs while adhering to agency standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Field Sales & Business Development

  • Generate new business through in-person meetings, networking, referrals, and community engagement
  • Develop and manage a territory-based pipeline of prospects and clients
  • Conduct face-to-face sales presentations and close new business opportunities
  • Identifyand execute cross-selling opportunities to maximize client value

Client Relationship Management

  • Build andmaintainstrong, long-term client relationships through regular in-person contact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and recommendingappropriate coverage
  • Support retention efforts through proactive engagement and service

Compliance & Documentation

  • Accurately document client interactions, applications, and policy information
