Position Summary

This position is responsible for a dedicated group of customers with a goal of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction while generating profit and market share by selling and supporting enterprise-wide products and services.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships daily with current and potential customers through phone calls, cold-calls, in-person visits and presentations.
  • Generate revenue and market share through product sales with assigned accounts according to pre-established sales goals and gross profit objectives.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales, market share, and gross profit goals
  • Assist with managing customers’ fleets while identifying and capitalizing on areas of opportunity.
  • Assist customers with maximizing the value that they receive from the products and success being delivered. Monitor usage, and offer and provide training on functionality not being utilized by the fleet customer.
  • Mentor and coach other team members.
  • Educate customers on our products and services through product specifications, demonstrations and presentations.
  • Maintain a team based approach to all activities to ensure sales, service, and support staff goals are obtained
  • Ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is updated daily
  • Participate in trade shows and various associations pertinent to the market

Position Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10 years or more of sales experience with a wide variety of Construction equipment.
  • 3 years or more of experience with fleet-based accounts.
  • Deep knowledge of full range of product offerings
  • Experience working with federal, state, or local government.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a business related concentration
  • 12 years or more of experience in sales with Caterpillar construction equipment
  • Strong knowledge of equipment (CAT, Kubota, etc.)

  • Ability to build and maintain effective customer and professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship-building and consistent demonstration of solid professional judgment
  • Strong customer service skills and thorough understanding of Price, Quality, and Turnaround
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
