Job description

Position Summary: The Pastry Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth in the pastry product category. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing key customer accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful promotion and distribution of pastry products. The Pastry Sales Manager also oversees a sales team and monitors market trends to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the pastry product category. 

  • Manage key customer accounts, build strong relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication, product knowledge, and timely order fulfillment. 

  • Monitor market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and identify opportunities for product expansion, new market penetration, and strategic partnerships. 

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns, sales collateral, and product presentations to support sales efforts. 

  • Lead and motivate a sales team, set sales targets, provide coaching and guidance, and conduct performance evaluations. 

 
About you: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; additional certifications or specialized training in sales and marketing are preferred. 

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the pastry or food industry, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. 

  • Strong knowledge of the pastry market, including current trends, customer preferences, and competitor landscape. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. 

  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities to identify sales opportunities, analyze market data, and develop effective sales strategies. 

  • Leadership skills to effectively manage a sales team, set goals, and provide guidance and support. 

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets. 

  • Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems. 

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
