A fast‑growing food distribution organization is seeking a Sales Manager to strengthen market performance in Calgary. This role focuses on building sound sales processes, coaching a local sales team, and working collaboratively across functions to drive sustainable sales growth.
The Sales Manager leads weekly sales meetings, reviews sales pipelines, and discusses customer opportunities and risks. The position works closely alongside with procurement and marketing to coordinate featured products, specialty orders, and new product launch campaigns. Advanced Excel skills are required to analyze sales activity, create custom velocity reports, and develop pricing pitches.
The Sales Manager oversees day‑to‑day sales execution, ensuring the team is aligned on revenue growth, and service standards. This includes monitoring CRM data quality and reinforcing follow‑up expectations to maintain a strong pipeline. The role also supports new business development efforts.
This role requires strong organizational and project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a detail‑oriented, analytical mindset.
Key responsibilities include establishing and reporting on KPIs and The Sales Manager also supports with creating training materials, and conducting performance reviews.
