Fire Alarm and Detection Sales Representative & Project Manager - ExperiencedFresno, CA The Fresno, CA District office of Cosco Fire Protection has a challenging and growth oriented opportunity for the right entrepreneurially minded individual. We are looking for a motivated team player with relationships in the local construction community to help us grow our offering in Fresno. A strong fire alarm background is a must. Job Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the overall fire alarm market offering within the territory. Once developed, work collaboratively with Branch Management to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Locate & qualify desired & targeted projects. Foster local customer relationships resulting in tangible sales.
  • Take an active role in the industry associations and the customer community in order to develop and grow the Cosco brand in this market.
  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of new construction and service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotations, anticipating needs, resolving concerns and complaints, and providing technical support.
  • Ensure adequate attention is given to the attainment of overall profit objectives throughout the sales and execution process.
  • Develop layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals.
  • Ensure that all proposals and contracts are processed and that any information required to complete turnover/billing packages is given to operations staff in a timely manner.
  • Seek out new customers to expand Cosco's customer base - willingness to engage in some "cold calling" to develop new accounts will be required.
  • Project management of projects sold may be required.
  • Estimate related service work & small projects including day-work as required.

Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years of fire alarm sales experience required.
  • Experience selling turnkey solutions is a plus.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, low voltage/fire alarm system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills and sales achievements.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to recruit/attract other key staff to the team as we grow is a huge plus.
  • Completion of college degree in business, marketing, construction management, or engineering (or equivalent work experience).
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Previous fire alarm design or electrical/low voltage field experience preferred.
  • Fire alarm project management skills/experience preferred.
  • Must have the ability to close sales and handle a variety of situations encountered during the sales process.
  • Highly proficient in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role has no formal supervisory responsibility. HOWEVER, the ability to provide guidance to operations team members (i.e. design, field superintendent) during execution of projects sold will be required.

Preferred license or certification: None required. NICET certification a plus.

Education: Bachelor (preferred) or equivalent directly applicable work experience.
