Description of Work
The Chick-fil-A Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and long-term strategic management of the Chick-fil-A restaurant located in the Nebraska City Union, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and achievement of business objectives.
The Chick-fil-A Manager will:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional leadership and customer service
  • Foster and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and team members
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing the overall operations of the retail location
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop team members
  • Ensure all staff meet the operational, service, and brand standards of Chick-fil-A and University Dining
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and product quality
  • Monitor and manage financial performance, including reviewing sales trends and implementing strategies to achieve business goals
  • Forecast inventory needs and order products and supplies to support efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational policies and procedures within the store
  • Uphold the brand standards for branded restaurant concepts it oversees

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or equivalent education/experience. Food-related, business, or hotel/restaurant management field.
  • Four years of food service experience with demonstrated career progression, showing increased leadership and responsibility.
  • Experience managing a cash-handling operation necessary.
  • Must exhibit a firm knowledge of excellent food service management practices to include food production, service styles, team building, hiring, staff development, and training.
  • Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in relevant food/dietetic/hospitality or business field.
  • Knowledge of cost controls, inventory controls and food safety/sanitation programs necessary.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet necessary.
