What is a salaried WordPress developer?

A Salaried WordPress Developer is a full-time employee who specializes in building, customizing, and maintaining websites using the WordPress content management system. Unlike freelance developers, salaried WordPress Developers typically work for a single company and receive a consistent paycheck and benefits. Their responsibilities can include theme and plugin development, website optimization, troubleshooting, and collaborating with design and marketing teams. They help ensure websites are user-friendly, secure, and up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates. This role is vital for businesses that rely on WordPress to manage their online presence.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a salaried WordPress developer?

To thrive as a Salaried WordPress Developer, you need strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with WordPress themes and plugins, often backed by a relevant degree or portfolio. Familiarity with tools like Git, MySQL, and popular page builders, as well as certifications in web development or WordPress, is highly beneficial. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective communication help developers collaborate with teams and meet client needs. These skills ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and user-friendly websites that align with business goals.

What are some common challenges faced by salaried WordPress developers in maintaining and updating existing websites?

Salaried WordPress developers often encounter challenges such as ensuring compatibility between new plugins and existing site themes, managing security updates without disrupting site functionality, and optimizing site performance as web traffic grows. Additionally, they must frequently coordinate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to implement changes and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Staying up-to-date with WordPress core updates and best practices is essential for minimizing downtime and maintaining a high-quality user experience.

Full-Time, $15-$22/hr DOE. About Us We are a growing digital marketing company with clients all over the nation. Our office is located in Downtown Littleton in an awesome coworking space walking distance from the light rail station.

We (the 2 co-founders) think of ourselves as fun, young, working professionals - besides the fact that we are complete nerds about SEO and digital marketing. The goal is to create a website for the client that is beautiful, clean, easy to navigate, high converting, and stands out from their competitors.

You will also be taking care of our own internal web development and graphic design needs: designing print materials, custom web graphics, infographics, banners/slides, and websites. About You: Above all, we're looking for someone who fits well with our company. You should be kind, ambitious, hard working, respectful, reliable, a fast learner.

You should have a true desire to produce the highest quality work for our clients and be invested in their success.
