POSITION OPENING: Elementary District Substitute Teacher - Inspire and Empower Young Minds! 
Employment will be coordinated through Edustaff

Substitute Teachers offer supplementary support in instances where regular teachers are unable to fulfill their duties. They may be responsible for creating and executing lesson plans and educational goals while overseeing student activities, managing classroom dynamics, and facilitating learning activities. Additionally, they may be responsible for tasks such as test grading, report compilation, and the assignment and evaluation of homework assignments.
As a Elementary District Substitute, you will be assigned to various buildings/elemetnary age groups/subject areas based on the needs of the elementary schools in the district each day. Flexibility to teach across elementary age groups and subject matter is essential.


WHAT WE NEED: Employment will be coordinated through Edustaff:
1. Transcripts with a total of 60+ credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA from accredited colleges/universities
2. Temporary Teaching Authorization
3. Current Michigan Teaching Certificate (Substitute Permit not required)
4. Expired Michigan Teaching Certificate
5. Out of State Teaching Certificate accompanied by an undergraduate transcript from a two or four-year accredited college/university showing 60* credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA
6. Evidence of ability to establish working relationships that result in mutual respect.
7. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
8. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1. Works cooperatively with administrators, student services personnel and teachers, to ensure the delivery of
curriculum
2. Assist students with selection of appropriate academic courses.
3. Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil, to
the extent feasible.
4. Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property.
5. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, and/or in self-
selected professional growth activities.
6. Communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress.
7. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs.
8. Ability to work each day that students are in session.
9. Other duties as assigned by the principal/superintendant/designee.
