Job description

Title Clerk Team Lead
We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Title Clerk Team Lead to head up our vehicle title and registration department. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, lead and develop a team of title clerks, and serve as the final checkpoint ensuring every transaction meets state DMV compliance standards. This is a great fit for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys mentoring others, and knows how to untangle even the messiest title issues.
What You'll Do
Direct daily workflows, prioritize workloads, and assign tasks across the title processing team
Train, mentor, and develop clerks on DMS platforms, internal procedures, and evolving state regulations
Oversee accurate, timely processing of titles, registrations, and out-of-state paperwork
Audit dealership documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to DMV submission
Investigate and resolve complex title discrepancies - odometer errors, missing signatures, lien issues, and more
Serve as the primary point of contact with state DMV offices and financial institutions on lien releases and title corrections
Maintain accurate tracking logs and reconcile accounting schedules on a weekly basis
Identify process bottlenecks and recommend workflow improvements to boost team efficiency
What You Bring
Experience: 3-5+ years of automotive title clerk experience required
Leadership: Prior experience supervising or mentoring a team strongly preferred
Regulatory Knowledge: An understanding of state DMV laws, titling requirements, and registration procedures
Core Strengths: Exceptional organization, sharp attention to detail, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
Communication: Confident, professional communicator comfortable liaising with DMV representatives and internal stakeholders
Salary - $24-25hr
Pay Range: $24 - $25 per hour
