Must-Have:
Electrophysiology Lab experience
Experience with pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal
Experience with right heart catheterization
Experience with various scrub procedures
Experience with Watchman procedure
Experience in arrhythmia induction
Experience in baseline measurements
Experience in cardioversion
Experience with left atrial appendage closure
Experience in pacemaker insertion
Experience with tilt table study
Experience in paracentesis
Knowledge of antiarrhythmics and antihypertensives
Experience with emergency medications and IV vasopressors
Knowledge in procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Experience with reversal agents and thrombolytics
Assistance with central line insertion and management
Experience with blood product administration
Care and maintenance of implanted ports
Experience with IV infusion pumps
Knowledge of PICC line care and maintenance
Starting and maintaining IVs
Experience in activated clotting time monitoring
Experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring
Knowledge of external compression devices
Familiar with hypothermia protocol and infection prevention
Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
Experience with laser-assisted procedures
Familiar with malignant hyperthermia protocol
Experience in monitoring procedural sedation
Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
Experience in pressure ulcer assessment and prevention
Knowledge of radiation and laser safety
Experience with sheath removal and monitoring
Knowledge of topical hemostasis and vascular closure systems
Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in the Electrophysiology Lab.
This role involves providing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
The nurse will participate in a variety of procedures, including pacemaker insertion and catheterizations.
Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and managing dysrhythmias is essential.
The role requires the ability to assist in emergency situations and administer required medications.
The nurse should be comfortable performing procedural sedation and monitoring patient responses.
Attention to detail in documentation and patient care protocols is critical.
The candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential for optimal patient outcomes.
The nurse will educate patients on postoperative care and answer any questions they may have.
Experience in the Electrophysiology Lab or similar environment is preferred.
Additional responsibilities may include participating in patient assessments and other clinical duties as assigned.
