Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Applications Specialist, you will serve as the critical technical liaison between carrier partners and core Applications systems. You are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm's technical infrastructure, overseeing complex data flows across Vertafore Sagitta, ImageRight, IVANS, and carrier databases to ensure absolute data accuracy, system synchronicity, and operational reliability.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Carrier Partners & Applications Data Governance
  • Manage and maintain carrier-specific data, including agency information, credentials, commission structures, and Agency Management System (AMS) mapping.
  • Execute targeted data maintenance projects and regular audits to reconcile carrier codes, internal datasets, and user access permissions.
  • Lead the end-to-end system onboarding for new carriers, overseeing user set up and credentialing permissions, AMS configuration, and collaborating with legal teams regarding appointments, managing commission access permissions for accounting and outsourcing teams.
  • Ensure the timely removal of inactive producers and account managers from all carrier portals and internal databases to maintain security and compliance.
  • Review application databases periodically to identify data gaps and implement corrective measures to ensure system-wide integrity.

Download Configuration
  • Administer carrier download processing, including setup of carrier download parameters within Sagitta, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor daily Download Activity reports to troubleshoot and resolve Suspense transactions or data exceptions with high urgency.
  • Configure and manage IVANS eDocs and download parameters to ensure seamless document routing and data mapping.
  • Configure automated carrier commission download in the Agency Management System and carrier partners portals
  • Deep knowledge of carrier commission schedules and policy documents and how they accurately translate into AMS data fields.
  • Lead efforts between offshore support and accounting leadership to ensure timely and accurate commission reconciliation across all databases and reporting tools.

Support Services
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for internal users, diagnosing and resolving complex application errors and platform issues.
  • Assist with complex service needs, including high-level invoicing, AMS policy workflows, ACORD forms, and intricate spreadsheets and reports.

Reporting & Compliance
  • Administer and customize high-level reports for regional and national teams and leadership using Sagitta Report Builder & CAND reports, Helix, and ImageRight Process Dashboard.
  • Collaborate with Helix programmers to develop agency-specific dashboards, reports, and datasets, providing actionable insights that support operations and compliance.
  • Support accounting and financial reporting through accurate AMS data structures and workflows.
  • Ensuring data integrity across Sagitta, Helix, and downstream reporting tools across all applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep technical knowledge of Sagitta, ImageRight, IVANS, and other Vertafore products.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, and other agency tools.
  • Solid understanding of Property & Casualty products, workflows, data structures, ACORD standards, carrier operations, agency code structures, and data flow between systems and reporting tools.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to research and collect complex data, diagnose and resolve application errors, data mismatches, and performance issues across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to manage tasks where complexity is driven by financial risk, technical requirements, and urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • High attention to detail in data management, mapping, and reconciliation.
  • Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and comfort with adopting new software.
  • 3 Years Relevant experience in insurance agency operations, AMS administration, or carrier management.
