Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Montgomery, NY. Our clinic features state-of-the-art equipment and a warm, welcoming atmosphere designed to make patients feel at ease. With a steady patient flow averaging 6-7 patients per day, you will have ample opportunities to build meaningful relationships with clients and make impactful contributions to their recovery journeys. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, utilizing both standardized assessments and clinical judgment to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement targeted therapeutic interventions, including hands-on manual therapy techniques, stretching, strengthening exercises, and functional training to promote patient recovery.
  • Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, rehabilitation strategies, and preventive measures to avoid future injuries, empowering them with the knowledge to manage their health.
  • Document patient progress meticulously in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating interdisciplinary communication.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment strategies as necessary, fostering a collaborative approach to care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will predominantly work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient population is diverse, ranging from young athletes to older adults seeking recovery from joint replacements. You'll have the opportunity to tailor your approach to a variety of needs and circumstances, contributing positively to each patient's rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications
  • Current physical therapy license in New York, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining industry standards and professional ethics.
  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, showcasing your academic background and clinical knowledge necessary for providing quality care.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desired, as it will enable you to hit the ground running and provide high-quality therapy from day one.
