- Part of the Naples Community Healthcare System at the Rooney Heart Institute
- Team composed of 20 Physicians and 42 CRNAs
- Performs over 600 cardiac cases per year, with anticipated increase in volumes
- Performs minimally invasive valve surgery, complex aortic surgery, percutaneous left and right ventricular assist devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and innovative transcatheter valve replacement and repair
- No peds or OB cases
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical resource for any clinician in the operating room environment requesting expertise, including assistance with invasive monitoring (central lines, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, and transesophageal echocardiography)
- Serve as consultants for preoperative case planning for patients with severe cardiopulmonary disease
- Provide direct clinical care for patients having both cardiac and non-cardiac surgery
- Participate in the development and integration of quality improvement and patient safety pathways and protocols at Naples Community Hospital
- Participate in local morbidity and mortality conferences for Naples Community Hospital and/or Rooney Heart Institute
- Assist with teaching of trainees (including students and fellows), CRNAs, or staff in a variety of settings including intraoperative environments and medical simulation
Compensation
- $700,000 Base Salary
- $25,000 sign-on bonus for cardiac anesthesiologists

Requirements
- MD or DO with the completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency program
- Completion of an adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship
- Certified by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography and listed as active diplomat status on the NBE website
- Maintain Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography certification through the National Board of Echocardiography
- BE or BC in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) for Anesthesiology practice
- Board-eligible anesthesiologists must complete the required steps for ABA certification in Anesthesiology within one year of start date
- Required to participate in the ABA’s Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA) program
- New cardiac fellowship graduates may be listed as testamur status upon date of employment but must complete required process to achieve diplomat status within 2 years of start date
