Work Environment

This position is based in our onsite rehabilitation facility, where you will work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Our facility operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive initial assessments for each patient, including evaluation of physical abilities and limitations.
  • Develop, implement, and assess individualized rehabilitation plans, ensuring alignment with patients' goals and recovery timelines.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, corrective exercise, and functional movement training, to alleviate pain and restore function.
  • Educate patients on exercises and strategies for self-management, ensuring they understand their treatment and recovery progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in continual professional development and participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and optimization of therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice specializes in treating a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on orthopedic and sports-related injuries. You will manage a steady caseload of 6-8 patients per day, where you will employ your expertise to help a range of individuals from active athletes to post-operative patients seeking rehabilitation. Each patient will benefit from personalized care tailored to their unique needs and recovery goals.

Qualifications
  • Active License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate).
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings, preferably within orthopedic or sports therapy.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, enhancing the efficiency of patient documentation and treatment outcomes.
  • Knowledge of contemporary therapeutic methods and evidence-based practice related to physical rehabilitation.
