Inner Sage Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our esteemed orthopedic outpatient practice located in Port Jervis, New York. Work Environment

This onsite position is situated within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility in Port Jervis, where we provide a broad spectrum of services. The clinic is designed to facilitate a comfortable and welcoming experience for patients. Staffed by a skilled team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and support personnel, our practice thrives on collaborative teamwork that actively encourages professional development and mentorship. The hours of operation for this role are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough assessments of new and existing patients to understand their specific needs and challenges.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation plans that integrate manual therapy, corrective exercise techniques, and functional movement training strategies.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercise protocols to enhance recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on clinical outcomes and patient feedback.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and home exercise programs to support long-term health goals and injury prevention.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons, to enhance patient treatment plans and outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with orthopedic and sports rehabilitation patients ranging from professional athletes to weekend warriors experiencing injuries or surgical recovery. This population often requires specialized treatment plans tailored to their activity levels and personal goals. Understanding the nuances of common orthopedic issues, as well as optimizing functional movement for athletic performance, will be critical in making a significant impact on their recovery trajectory.

Qualifications
  • A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, with preferred advanced degrees (Master’s or Doctorate) in the field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster patient engagement and motivation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team dedicated to patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation or sports therapy, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
