Job description

Tacten is currently seeking IRATA Level 1 Technicians to support projects in the Atlantic Region (St. John’s and surrounding areas). This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment with strong opportunities for hands-on experience, growth, and skill development.

This is project-based work starting in mid-June 2026 and extending through August 2026.


  • Assist with a wide range of industrial maintenance, inspection, and repair activities while working at heights in rope access environments
  • Safely utilize rope access techniques, specialized equipment, and hand/power tools to complete assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with site procedures
  • Support rescue preparedness and participate in emergency response and rescue operations as required
  • Work collaboratively within a composite crew environment while assisting Journeypersons and senior technicians with daily project activities
  • Maintain clear communication and coordinate with site personnel, supervisors, and other trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety standards and procedures
  • Adhere to all IRATA, company, client, and site-specific safety requirements while promoting a strong safety-first culture on site

Certifications & Qualifications

  • IRATA Level 1 Certification

  • Skilled Labourer Ticket considered an asset

  • Safety certifications as required by client and provincial standards
