Safety Town is an educational program designed to teach young children, typically ages 4 to 6, about basic safety concepts in a fun and interactive environment. The program covers topics such as pedestrian and traffic safety, fire safety, stranger danger, and other important safety skills. Through hands-on activities, games, and guided instruction, children learn how to recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations. Safety Town is often run by local police departments, fire departments, or community organizations during the summer months.

Familiarity with educational tools, child safety guidelines, and basic first aid certifications is typically required. Patience, strong communication, and enthusiasm are essential soft skills for engaging children and creating a positive learning environment. These skills ensure that safety concepts are effectively taught, making a lasting impact on children’s understanding of personal and community safety.

About Hopedale Medical Complex

For more than 70 years, Hopedale Medical Complex has provided exceptional, patient-centered healthcare close to home. We are an independent, nonprofit Critical Access Hospital rooted in a small-town community—but the scope of care we provide is anything but small.

What makes HMC special is the relationship between our patients, physicians, and care teams. Many of our physicians provide both primary care and general surgical services, creating a continuity of care and personal connection that is increasingly rare in healthcare. Our patients are our neighbors, friends, and families, and many have trusted HMC with their care for generations.

From our 25-bed hospital, 24-hour Emergency Department, ICU, and four operating rooms to primary and specialty care, advanced surgical services, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, long-term care, senior living, and wellness services, HMC provides the capabilities of a larger health system with the personal connection of community healthcare.

Join the Hopedale Medical Complex Team!

Are you a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant who is passionate about providing exceptional care? Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking a dedicated CNA to join our Nursing Home team. In this role, you'll provide hands-on resident care while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team committed to delivering quality, resident-centered care.

This position is primarily based in our Nursing Home. Cross-training and occasional floating to the Hospital and Commons Assisted Living Facility may be required based on resident care needs and staffing requirements.

  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Shift differential:
    • $3.00/hour for night shifts
    • $4.00/hour for weekend shifts

What You'll Do

  • Assist licensed nursing staff in providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals.
  • Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff.
  • Follow individualized care plans and nursing instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while following infection prevention and safety protocols.
  • Protect resident privacy by maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in required training, continuing education, and competency development.

Qualifications
