General Purpose:
Supports successful implementation and maintenance of clinical and quality initiatives and protocols for use at the facility to level to assure the facility is following all State and Federal regulations and its own policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
This facility expects their employees to do whatever is necessary to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list is not all-inclusive:

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and measures activities related to Quality Assurance.
  • Reviews clinical records and provides feedback to Clinical Leadership.
  • Compiles, trends and reports quality data in the following areas: patient care, safety, risk management, infection control, outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Works collaboratively with Clinical Leadership to assure documentation is complete and consistent with care and reflects legal requirements.
  • Identifies education and training needs based on trends.
  • Maintains knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations as well as applies to Transitions processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring processes to monitor and evaluate safety, risk management and infection control programs.
  • Coordinates, educates and implements monitoring activities for safety, risk management and infection control.
  • Develop and roll out new Quality Assurance Program
  • Consolidate all survey results and track/trend company-wide results and which areas for focus
  • Combine all medical records requests and review, monitor, and manage legal cases
  • Manage and update all managers with pertinent information

. Requirements:

  • RN licensed in the state program is located.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years clinical nursing experience. An emphasis in Post Acute/Skilled Nursing is preferred.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Excellent understanding of performance improvement, quality assessment and utilization management.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent observation, assessment, nursing judgement and communication skills. Ability to provide accurate written documentation in a timely manner.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations
