    • Facilitate, implement, and evaluate individualized Patient Plans of Care and corresponding outcomes.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient results and ensure continuity of care.
    • Serve as a strong patient advocate, promoting safety, dignity, and wellbeing.
Clinical & Technical Competence
    • Deliver timely and effective nursing interventions based on patient needs.
    • Demonstrate strong clinical skills and technical proficiency in all aspects of patient care.
    • Utilize sound clinical judgment to assess, analyze, and communicate patient information promptly.
Documentation & Communication
    • Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and provider communications in real time.
    • Perform ongoing review, initiation, and implementation of provider orders each shift.
Patient Safety & Risk Assessment
    • Identify patient safety risk factors, including fall risk, skin integrity concerns, and the need for restraints.
    • Implement appropriate safety interventions promptly and consistently.
    • Follow medication safety policies and complete all required Safety Tracking Tools.
Delegation & Team Leadership
    • Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise assigned staff to ensure highquality patient care.
    • Take responsibility for all care provided to assigned patients.
    • Report performance concerns to maintain a safe, supportive, and effective care environment.
Patient & Family Education
    • Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing clear written and verbal instructions.
    • Document all education delivered and evaluate understanding as appropriate.
Prioritization & Critical Thinking
    • Prioritize tasks efficiently based on urgency, patient acuity, and available resources.
    • Demonstrate independent problemsolving skills, multitasking ability, and effective time management.

Qualifications
  • 2 years nursing experience caring for Step Down level of care patients including cardiothoracic surgery patients, preferred.
  • EPIC preferred
Credentials
  • RN - Registered Nurse
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • NIH - Stroke Certification
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
