Job description

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Risk Policy Senior Officer I for its Wilmington, Delaware location.
Duties: Use statistical and data analysis tools and methodologies including Excel, SAS, and SQL to perform risk management strategic analysis and reporting. Collaborate on and manage ad-hoc analyses and ongoing portfolio reporting to measure and monitor credit risk, interpret trends, and explain key drivers for financial analysis and planning from a second line of defense / independent risk management perspective. Challenge proposed new initiatives, strategy changes and new product programs. Provide oversight and guidance to in-business risk teams to ensure adherence to risk appetite and financial plans, and compliance with retail credit risk management policies. Identify attributes from external and internal data sources to analyze expected credit behavior used to segment customers with similar risk profiles and identify credit risk behavior patterns. Lead or collaborate on strategic initiatives focusing on optimizing the bank's retail credit risk management framework. Ensure compliance with consumer credit risk policies and identify opportunities and best practices to enhance retail credit risk policy. Perform governance activities for independent risk including assessing appropriate controls, including internal and external audits and policy governance task. Prepare presentations and materials for senior risk management. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 year), or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or related field and 6 years of experience as a Credit Risk Analyst, Financial Analyst, Consumer Business Operational Risk & Control, Assistant Vice President - Sales Planning & Performance Management, Relationship Manager or related position in the retail credit risk management industry. 6 years of experience must include: Financial P&L analysis, including simulations and NPV; Financial analysis / portfolio performance evaluation; Financial planning, including budgeting & financial forecasting; Expertise in portfolio governance concepts and Management Information Systems; Advanced knowledge of the retail credit lending industry and products, especially unsecured products, including credit cards and personal loans; and Advanced knowledge of U.S. banking regulations with particular emphasis on retail lending and bank safety & soundness.
