Job description

Responsibilities

HazTek is looking for experienced Safety Specialists near Reno, NV to oversee safety operations on our commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe.

  • Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Conduct daily safety meetings
  • Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
  • Daily safety audits and inspections
  • Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
  • Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years direct construction safety experience required
  • Active OSHA 510 and or OSHA 500 required
  • Active BCSP certification highly preferred
  • Degree in a safety and or environmental related field is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards
  • Experience with data centers and or mission critical builds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
