Summary
Title: Safety Officer ID: 1122140 Location: Oak Ridge, TN Extra PRN Pay: Regular
Description

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a part-time (25 hours/week) Safety Officer. The schedule will be flexible on weekdays during regular business hours.

REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor's degree in facility management, safety, environmental science, or a related field is required. A minimum of three years' safety experience is preferred, with priority given to candidates with healthcarerelated experience. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered to meet educational requirements. Requires working knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, Life Safety Code/Statement of Conditions, OSHA/TOSHA/EHS regulations, the Environment of Care Program, and TDMHSAS licensure requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is also required.


JOB DUTIES
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care (EOC), Statement of Conditions, and Life Safety Code, and TDMHSAS requirements. Duties also include conducting EOC and safety inspections; writing / revising related policies and procedures; delivering and documenting annual and newhire safety training; and maintaining compliance with all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to Ridgeview's safety, security, and Environment of Care programs. Position serves as coordinator of the Ridgeview safety Committee, represents Ridgeview at KETHC meetings and events.
