Job description

Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Technical Coordinator for our Health & Safety team with a minimum of 3 years of experience to provide administrative support for our Health & Safety Program. This position will be based out of our Reading, MA, or Wilmington, MA office locations. 


What you’ll do:

  • Administrative Support 
    • Posting company-wide communications from the Health & Safety Team. 
    • Coordinating documents including client proposals, safety inspection reports, health & safety plans, and corporate safety programs documents.
    • Assist in scheduling Safety Team meetings, training sessions, site inspections, and safety events. 
    • Attend weekly Safety Team meetings, take meeting notes, summarize meeting minutes and action items. 
  • Safety Team & Corporate Safety Program Support
    • Coordinate our internal safety training program through managing our online learning management system (HSI Safety Training LMS) and prepare/distribute training certificates as needed. 
    • Monitor and update safety management system (HSI) including incident reporting, training tracking, and corporate safety documents. 
    • Coordinate incident reviews, incident reporting, and review follow-up 
    • Coordinate OSHA reporting & company-wide regulatory postings
    • Coordinate with corporate Safety Committee, record monthly meetings, and provide meeting summaries to the Safety Team
    • Oversee onboarding of new hires including scheduling required safety & human resources training, coordinate required OSHA trainings /certifications
    • Coordinate and track medical monitoring as required for OSHA compliance (i.e. HAZWOPER, Respiratory Protection) and per corporate requirements. 
    • Manage third-party health & safety reporting ( monthly annual) and client requests for health & safety metrics. 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace Health & Safety Management, Environmental science or equivalent with a concentration in health and safety preferred 
  • A minimum of 3 years of administration related experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment and get along with others 
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize, manage and coordinate multiple assignments 
  • Able to work flexible hours 
  • Able to meet deadlines and to work cooperatively with others
  • Must have strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and other database software
  • Knowledge of project management and/or safety management system programs is a plus 
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and/ or general industry/ construction safety practices is a plus. 

Salary Range: $25.00-$35.00 an hour.
