Senior Manager Safety, Canfor Southern Pine, Inc., Mobile, AL.Lead the ongoing improvement and standardization of the Occupational Health and Safety Program and related Safety Management Systems, consistent with the various laws, codes and regulations that apply across the seven states weoperatein. Collaborate closely with operational leadership to cultivate a culture of safety excellence, positioning Canfor as a frontrunner in health and safety standards for both employees and customers.Provideexpert guidance on safety standards and regulatory requirements across all levels of the organization,designingandoverseeingsafety programs and protocols, managing internal and external audits, and delivering comprehensive health and safety training. Act as a pivotal part in working alongside regional safety managers, mill health & safety advisors, mill management, and all employees to implement and sustain safety initiatives that align with our overarching safety strategy.Create training and policies on a variety of issues that include but are not limitedto: machine guarding, lockout, hot work, confined space, fall protection, PPE, cranes and lifting devices, forklifts, industrial hygiene, noise, loss management, contractor management, loss prevention, combustible dust, first aid, and emergency response. Collaborate with management teams on delivering safety training for all employees. Telecommutingpermitted20% per week withinsamegeographic location as assigned office location unless otherwise pre-approved by the Business.

40hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.$145,860 - $147,860/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 7 years of experience in creating and executing safety programs for a mid tolarge sizemanufacturing organization.

Of the required experience must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

Incident investigation skills and training as well as experience with emergency management processes, requirements and structure including auditing knowledge;

Safety laws;

Experience using cloud-based software for EHS, like Enablon;

Experience in manufacturing operations, specifically within sawmilling;

Risk Management software tools.

40% of domestic travel is required.
