Job description

We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to support safe and compliant marine operations in Seattle, Washington. This Long-term Contract position focuses on strengthening environmental, health, and safety practices across vessels and regional sites while helping teams meet regulatory and company standards. The role will work closely with operations personnel to advance incident prevention, readiness, training, and continuous improvement throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day marine activities with a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance across regional operations.
• Conduct onboard and facility-based inspections to identify risks, verify safe work practices, and recommend corrective actions.
• Help enforce safety management procedures by monitoring adherence to established policies, standards, and operational requirements.
• Participate in internal audits of vessels, equipment, and facilities, and assist with follow-up actions to address findings.
• Support onboarding activities for new personnel by contributing to orientation sessions focused on safety expectations and compliance.
• Coordinate and assist with safety drills, workforce training sessions, and operational meetings that reinforce emergency preparedness and safe performance.
• Contribute to regulatory compliance efforts by helping regional teams align with local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, document findings, and help develop measures that reduce future risk.
