  • Verify that employees and subcontractors are using the required personal protective equipment.
  • Support project teams in completing job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, safety permits, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, certifications, and corrective-action logs.
  • Assist with incident, injury, near-miss, property-damage, and environmental investigations.
  • Gather photographs, witness statements, reports, and other information needed to document incidents.
  • Help track corrective actions and confirm that identified safety concerns are resolved.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and communicate concerns to the appropriate project team members.
  • Participate in project meetings, preconstruction meetings, and safety-planning discussions.
  • Assist with emergency-response planning, drills, and jobsite preparedness.
  • Monitor housekeeping, access routes, fall protection, excavation safety, equipment operations, and other high-risk construction activities.
  • Promote employee participation in safety programs and encourage the reporting of hazards and near misses.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, clients, inspectors, and project leadership.
  • Immediately report serious hazards, incidents, or violations to the Safety Manager and appropriate operational leadership.
  • Support additional Safety Department initiatives, audits, training programs, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of construction, industrial, safety, or field-related experience.
