Estamos seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to ensure facility-wide compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. In this role, you will partner with plant leadership, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional personnel to drive health and safety initiatives, enforce plant safety policies, and foster a strong safety culture on the shop floor.

If you possess a solid foundation in industrial safety management, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to protecting worker well-being, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Action Plan Implementation: Support the execution of annual health and safety action plans, corporate-mandated safety programs, permit-to-work procedures, and continuous improvement safety initiatives.
• Facility Audits & Inspections: Inspect the facility regularly to detect existing or potential workplace hazards, recommending corrective or preventive measures where appropriate.
Training, Communication & Program Administration
• Safety Meetings & Orientations: Facilitate monthly safety committee meetings, contractor safety orientations, and visitor safety briefings.
• Program Development: Assist in researching, planning, and organizing safety programs, writing training materials, developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and distributing educational visual aids.
• Specialized Programs: Coordinate and administer specialized safety initiatives, such as forklift safety programs and annual employee safety gear events.
Incident Investigation & Documentation
• Incident Reporting & Root Cause: Track, report, and investigate all EH&S incidents-including injuries, recordables, near misses, first aid cases, and property damage-to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Data & Document Control: Maintain accurate logs for corrective and preventive actions, near-miss reporting tracking, internal audit schedules, and safety document control systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Associate degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Hygiene, or a related field (or equivalent professional plant-level experience in lieu of a degree).
• Experience Baseline: 2 to 3+ years of professional, plant-level experience in the planning, development, and implementation of health and safety management systems and compliance programs.
• Technical Mastery:
oSolid working knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial hygiene concepts, and hazard identification methods.
oHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for safety tracking and reporting.
• Core Competencies: Excellent organizational, cross-functional communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and incident records.
Preferred Attributes
