Food safety isn't just compliance-it's trust. As a Supervisor - Food Safety & Quality, you will be the driving force behind protecting our products, our customers, and our brand. You'll lead food safety and quality programs across a complex distribution campus, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure we consistently meet-and exceed-GFSI standards.

This role offers the opportunity to influence operations at every level, partner with leaders across the organization, and play a key role in maintaining world-class food safety systems.

What You'll Do Lead & Champion Food Safety Excellence
  • Serve as the site owner for all food safety and quality management systems within the assigned Distribution Center.
  • Champion a strong food safety culture, partnering with DC leadership to drive cross-functional continuous improvement.
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain GFSI accreditation, including annual re-certification audits.
  • Support facility and corporate leadership in setting strategic priorities for food safety and quality advancement.
Manage Programs Across the Campus
  • Oversee food safety and quality programs across warehouse, transportation, reclaim, trailers, and sanitation operations.
  • Ensure compliance with FSMA, cGMPs, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Food Safety Plan, food defense, and food fraud programs.
  • Act as a key partner to internal teams and external vendors, auditors, and service providers.
Sanitation & Pest Control Leadership
  • Own end-to-end oversight of:
    • Sanitation Team & Master Sanitation Schedule
    • Trailer sanitation and reclaim areas
    • Pest Control Operator (PCO) relationship
    • Monitoring, verification, documentation, and effectiveness reviews
  • Conduct facility audits to ensure compliance with GFSI and internal food safety standards.
Training, Coaching & Development
  • Lead food safety and quality training programs to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Train and coach associates and leaders on food safety, environmental, and sanitation programs.
  • Identify training gaps and implement effective education tools and programs.
Weekly
  • Monitor personal hygiene compliance
  • Coordinate building and grounds maintenance issues
  • Oversee sanitation of buildings, trailers, and compactors
  • Manage pest control documentation and effectiveness
  • Conduct food safety training for new hires and drivers (sanitary transportation)
Monthly
  • Perform GMP warehouse audits and launch corrective actions
  • Conduct sanitation verificationsManage document control (GFSI/IFS binders, recalls, calibration, COAs, vendor surveys)
  • Review and manage work orders related to food safety
Annually
  • Perform internal GFSI audits and lead DC re-certification audits
  • Close corrective actions from GFSI/NSF audits
  • Deliver annual GMP refresher training
  • Conduct food defense and food fraud exercises
  • Serve as CFPM Instructor/Proctor as needed
What You Bring Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant food safety or quality experience
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and training skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain:
    • GFSI certification
    • Food Manager certification
    • FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food accreditation
