Goodwin Tucker Group is looking for a motivated Apprentice Refrigeration Install Technician to join our growing team. What You'll Do

As an Apprentice Refrigeration Install Technician, you’ll work alongside experienced installation technicians and learn the skills needed to become a highly qualified refrigeration professional.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the installation of commercial refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Learn to install refrigeration piping, components, controls, and electrical connections
  • Assist with setting equipment, condensers, evaporators, walk-in coolers/freezers, and related systems
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Learn to read equipment manuals, installation instructions, and basic mechanical drawings
  • Assist with pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system start-up
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices
  • Work closely with senior technicians to develop troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Provide professional service and maintain a positive relationship with customers
  • Continue developing technical knowledge through hands-on training and company-supported education

  • Safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional and respectful when working in customer locations
  • Able to lift equipment and materials and perform physical work as required
  • Interested in building a long-term career in refrigeration/HVAC
  • Previous construction, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, or trade-school experience is a plus, but not required
