Location: Hybrid- Irving, TX. 1-2 days a week in office and as needed for additional meetings, training, and projects.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Handle the day-to-day accounts receivable functions, including customer billing, adjustments, collections and file validated remittances

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Monitor aging balance and assess collectability

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding account-related inquiries

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain and update master client billing data, ensuring actuate billing instructions, invoicing requirements and account information for each client

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Coordinate customer onboarding and account setup to support timely and accurate invoicing and timely receipt of cash through established payment methods

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Review and maintain sales tax exemption certificates and supporting documentation

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to obtain purchase orders in accordance with the relevant contract, prior to the applicable billing date

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide support during contract negotiation with suggestions and guidance on proper revenue booking and recognition considerations

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide month-end AR close support, including multi-state sales tax reconciliations and analyzing DSO trends

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participate in quarterly and annual audits and reviews

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and optimizing AR policies, processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

Requirements

Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  2-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing or accounting

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience supporting multi-state sales tax compliance

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prior experience working in the SaaS or IT industries

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with Certinia (Financial Force), Avalara or similar accounting systems

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) with advanced experience with Excel skills including VLookups and Pivot Tables

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong knowledge of GAAP including ASC606 Revenue Recognition

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience and desire to automate processes and reconciliations

ย ย ย ย ย ย  A "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with AR metrics such as DSO, aging and collection performance

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proven ability to meet challenging deadlines and prioritize projects

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work independently as a self-starter and problem-solver with minimal direction while still being a team player
