Job description

POSTION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse role at E&R Industrial performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing – picking, packing, staging, and shipping in accordance to standard operating procedures and safe work practices, as well as general housekeeping to provide a safe and clean work environment.

Under the direction, specific duties include:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Use Latitude software and a hand held scanner to process all warehouse transactions
  • Use CribMaster software and vending equipment to process on-site deployment of material at the customer
  • Unload trailers using material handling equipment
    • Including 55 gal drums
  • Pull orders daily
  • Check-in and receive material daily
  • Put-away stock material in appropriate locations daily
  • Comply with DOT regulations regarding the handling and shipping of material
  • Pack and stage merchandise and complete necessary documents
  • Deliver material to customer daily
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of computerized scanning equipment and other inventory maintenance reports

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years’ experience in related field
  • Experience operating power equipment (fork truck, pallet jack, drum hand truck)
  • Experience operating RF scanner and inventory management software
  • Experience operating computer based vending equipment

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Able to operate powered industrial equipment
  • Able to operate computerized warehouse management equipment
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Able to drive delivery van and box truck

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work conditions are typical of a typical Distribution Center
  • Ability to lift 25 to 60 lbs. and/or occasionally work in difficult positions
  • Both manual and power equipment used to pull and put away material
