About your Role:
As a contract-based Marketing Specialist, you will support a fast-paced, collaborative marketing team within a dynamic, end-to-end corporate marketing department. Reporting to the Manager of School Marketing, you will help execute omni-channel campaigns that drive new student enrollment and increase engagement across Stride's portfolio of online schools.
In this role, you will support our schools by collaborating with cross-functional teams-including creative, demand generation, web, analytics, email, product, organic social, enrollment, and external agencies-to deliver marketing programs with accuracy and consistency. This position provides exposure to a wide range of marketing channels and offers an opportunity to build foundational marketing skills while supporting Stride's mission and enrollment goals.
SUMMARY:
The Marketing Specialist (Contract) supports the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns in support of Stride's core business-our management of 70+ online schools. This role is execution-focused and designed to build core marketing capabilities through hands-on project support, coordination, and campaign execution.
In this position, you will assist with campaign execution, coordinate assets and deliverables, and support performance tracking and documentation. As Stride's K-12 schools represent a strategic business priority, this role offers an early-career opportunity to gain experience in a collaborative, mission-driven marketing organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns that drive enrollment, awareness, and engagement
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support timely delivery of campaign assets across channels
  • Assist with the development of messaging and marketing content aligned to school value propositions and audience needs
  • Support collaboration with earned media agencies to execute local and regional awareness campaigns
  • Partner with creative, product, and school teams to ensure campaign materials accurately reflect product features and benefits
  • Apply market research insights as directed to support campaign positioning and execution
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and assist with documenting results and learnings
  • Track and compile marketing performance metrics (e.g., website traffic, leads, conversions) to support reporting and analysis
  • Maintain organized documentation for campaign plans, timelines, deliverables, and results
  • Assist with new product launches by supporting cross-functional coordination and asset development
  • Ensure timely, accurate communication with stakeholders under guidance from senior team members
  • Build foundational knowledge of digital marketing channels, tools, and best practices
  • Stay informed on trends in K-12 education and digital marketing to support ongoing learning

This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. There may be opportunities to supervise and mentor interns.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-2 years of professional or internship experience in marketing, communications, or a related field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow processes and manage assigned tasks with guidance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and marketing concepts
  • High standards for accuracy, quality, and accountability

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (minimal e.g. school board meetings / video shoot / team building events)
  • Ability to clear required background check

Compensation & Benefits:Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
  • We anticipate this position will pay $15.14 - $28.84 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Workspend. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
