Essential Functions

Design and lead inclusive, safe, and effective yoga sessions aligned with current exercisephysiology standards.
Foster community by engaging with members before and after class to build relationships andencourage retention.
Maintain at least 60% class attendance and support participant growth through consistent, high quality instruction.
Teach a minimum of 8 classes per month, including at least one sub class, while starting andending sessions on time.
Ensure a clean, organized studio environment and proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Accurately record attendance and report participation trends as required.
Support YMCA outreach and fundraising initiatives through active program participation.
Comply with all branch emergency procedures and safety protocols.
Attend staff meetings and complete continuing education aligned with YMCA and personaldevelopment goals.
Model the YMCA mission and values through professional conduct and commitment to serviceexcellence

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

Completion of all required YMCA of Greater Charlotte trainings by specified deadlines.
Minimum of 5 years (500+ hours) of yoga teaching experience.
Current Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) certification, OR ACE Group Exercise or Personal
Training certification with Yoga Alliance-approved continuing education for renewal.
Passion for helping others achieve holistic wellness through yoga.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and dependable, with a strong sense of initiative.
Positive, outgoing personality with the ability to foster trust and connection with members.
Demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm in all teaching and engagement efforts.

All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.

Working Conditions

Availability to teach classes at various times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
