Are you a driven, ambitious professional ready to fast-track into a management role? The Ryder Rental Management Trainee program is an 18-24 month accelerated career development experience designed to build the next generation of Ryder leaders.
This program is fast-paced and touches every aspect of the business unit. You'll receive hands-on training across Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and Sales & Marketing - gaining the full toolkit you need to step into a leadership role with confidence.
What You'll Experience
Over 18-24 months, you'll build expertise across every core area of the business:
- Finance - Understand the P&L drivers behind a high-performing rental operation
- Operations - Manage rental assets, vehicle PM standards, and day-to-day location performance
- Sales & Marketing - Drive revenue through inbound sales, outbound solicitation, and lead generation for rental, lease, and used vehicle sales
- Human Resources - Learn how to build, develop, and lead a team
- Customer Relationship Management - Resolve customer concerns and grow a loyal customer base
- Compliance & Regulatory - Ensure alignment with company, local, state, and federal requirements

Essential Functions
- Handle the sales process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation
- Maintain current and accurate data within the company's marketing database
- Responsible for generating rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads
- Manage all rental asset processes to include Vehicle PM and cleanliness standards
- Meet overall Ryder market share by successfully executing sales and marketing initiatives
- Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies
- Reconcile all customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain ongoing relationships and grow the current customer base
Additional Responsibilities
- On a voluntary basis as well as based on scheduling, the Rental Management Trainee will be required to perform the role of On-Call Representative based on work schedules as determined by Supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned
