Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Analyst for the School of Nursing.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Collaborates on innovative research projects in nursing science, specifically in biopsychosocial aspects of mental health, acute/chronic and pain-related conditions, including sickle cell disease.
  • Designs and implements data collection strategies, including qualitative and quantitative methods, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Analyzes data using appropriate statistical or thematic analysis methods.
  • Assists with the preparation of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supports the PI in applying for external research funding.
  • Presents research findings at national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
  • Prepares research reports, academic papers, and other scientific publications.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to graduate students, research assistants, and other trainees.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, policy makers, and other researchers.
  • Engages in professional development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the nursing science field through grant submissions, continued education and networking.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with advanced education in research design, protocol development, recruitment and retention strategies, data collection and data management plans, and research dissemination.
  • Current enrollment in a Ph.D. nursing program with experience in research study implementation as Principal Investigator.
