Foster Home Developer
Job Summary
Azleway is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Foster Home Developer in Houston, TX. This position reports directly to the Regional Director and is responsible for coordinating efforts to place children within Azleway's Foster Home system.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • A master's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university, OR
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of relevant experience, OR
  • A bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and one year of relevant experience, OR,
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities and DutiesDuties of the Foster Home Developer include:
  • Conducting all communication, assessment, and interviews for prospective foster parents.
  • Conducting and developing foster home studies.
  • Coordinating foster parent pre-service training.
  • Monitoring foster homes for compliance with applicable standards, laws and regulations
  • Routine staffing development, monitoring, and training activities with administration
  • Attending weekly meeting to assess verification process status, foster home compliance monitoring and training needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must meet all applicable Texas Department of Family and Protective Services licensing requirements, including passing mandatory drug screening, background checks, and finger printing.
