Speech Therapist

TemPositions is proud to partner with a renowned San Francisco service agency with a 175-year history of supporting the Bay Area community. This position is located within their specialized Adult Day Health Center, which provides essential medical and social services to a vibrant population of Russian-speaking seniors and adults with disabilities.

Location: San Francisco, CA 94115

Pay Rate: $63.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time | 16–24 hours per month

Employment Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt (Contract)

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Speech Therapist provides comprehensive services addressing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. You will evaluate participants, develop individualized care plans, and educate families and staff on techniques to support participant progress in a culturally sensitive environment.

Essential Duties

Conduct initial and periodic reassessments (every six months) for referred participants.

Develop and deliver evidence-based, person-centered speech therapy plans.

Educate family members and caregivers on managing speech and communication challenges.

Train ADHC staff on therapy-related strategies to incorporate into daily routines.

Maintain detailed and compliant components of participant health records.

Work closely with the MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) to ensure therapy meets program goals.

Job Qualifications

Licensed as a Speech Therapist by the Medical Board of California.

Conversational proficiency in Russian is required to effectively communicate with this specific participant population.

Experience providing speech therapy to older adults and/or individuals with disabilities.

Knowledge of state and federal regulations (Title 22) related to ADHC settings.

Physical capacity to assist frail elderly or disabled adults as needed.

Must pass a Physical Exam and TB Screening prior to employment.
