Job Description

SOSi is seeking a Russian Operational Language Analyst to join a team of Intelligence Community professionals supporting national security objectives in Suitland, Maryland.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT operations.
  • Recover essential elements of information.
  • Render translations and/or transcripts that are complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.
  • Gist straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material.
  • Review, analyze, evaluate and as necessary translate reports of both a technical and operational nature that have direct bearing on supporting ongoing customer research and development programs.
  • Review, analyze and assess information derived from original language documents and perform both document translations and assess information derived from original language documents. 
  • Assist Government personnel in their efforts to identify functional vulnerabilities in various system components.
  • Perform open-source data mining operations.
  • Provide guidance and training to enlisted Linguist personnel to develop preceding skills.
Qualifications
  • Active in scope TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Associates degree and Four (4) or more years' full-time experience performing cryptologic language processing in the required language.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Language test scores taken within the last two (2) years equivalent to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill Level 3 in Listening OR Reading.
  • Ability to conduct and employ All-Source, including open-source, research/data-mining and fusion analysis operations and techniques.
  • Ability to utilize IC databases and analytical software tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with intelligence analysis tools and databases.
  • Demonstrates superior written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant military MOSs: 35P, 1N3X1, 1A8X1, CTI, 267X or equivalent.
  • SIGINT reporting.
  • Target and network research, development, and analysis.
  • Identification and characterization of Network Operations threat actors.
