Job description

About BodyRok
BodyRok delivers high-intensity, low-impact reformer Pilates that tones, sculpts, and redefines the body and mind in just 45 minutes. We are a growing studio community built around a simple commitment: helping people, team members and members alike, become the best version of themselves. We are looking for dedicated, hospitality-minded people who want to help us share the BodyRok experience with more of our community.
About the Role
We are currently hiring a founding team for BodyRok Costa Mesa, including part-time and full-time Studio Advisors.

The Studio Advisor is the heart of the BodyRok member experience and the first and last impression every member and guest has of the studio. This is a hospitality-first role. You set the tone for a warm, welcoming, and impeccably run studio, build genuine relationships with members, and act as a brand ambassador for BodyRok in every interaction. You also play a meaningful part in growing the studio by developing relationships with prospective, new, and existing members that lead to membership and package growth.
As a Studio Advisor, you are expected to deliver the BodyRok Service Promise, contribute to a clean, friendly, and well-maintained studio, take ownership of your work without micromanagement, and execute the team member basics of being on time and complying with the dress code.
What You'll Do
Hospitality and Member Experience
  • Deliver a first-class member experience at every touchpoint, in person, over email, and by phone
  • Ensure a warm welcome for every member and guest on arrival and a genuine thank-you on departure
  • Build individual connections with members, anticipate their needs, and create personalized experiences that reflect the BodyRok brand
  • Act as a positive brand ambassador, making every member and guest feel cared for and at home in the studio
  • Tour prospective members through the studio, connecting them to the equipment, services, and amenities, and helping them find the right fit
  • Respond to member questions and service needs with empathy, patience, and a can-do attitude
  • Follow up with newly enrolled members to ensure we are exceeding their expectations
Membership Growth and Sales
  • Develop relationships with prospective, new, and existing members to grow membership enrollment and package purchases
  • Create new business through member promotions, referrals, and inquiries
  • Share current promotions, membership options, and special events with members and guests
  • Reach out to existing and prospective members through thoughtful, relationship-led outreach
  • Reconcile and report all incoming and outgoing transactions
  • Meet personal sales and revenue targets
Studio Operations and Check-In
  • Greet all incoming members and guests and ensure check-in procedures are followed
  • Monitor incoming emails and ensure inquiries are handled promptly and professionally
  • Handle member service needs, including change of address, electronic funds setup or changes, and questions regarding billing and payments
  • Maintain an accurate member database and register new members
  • Promote and sell retail and merchandise, maintaining strong product knowledge
  • Keep the front desk and entryway clutter-free, orderly, and clean
  • Execute daily and weekly studio checklists
  • Initiate tasks and take ownership without needing direction
Studio Environment and Cleanliness
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming studio, including bathrooms, changing rooms, and trash
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including hourly bathroom and studio checks
  • Take pride in the studio's appearance and uphold brand standards at all times
Community and Culture
  • Represent the BodyRok brand within the studio and throughout the local fitness community
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture
  • Support studio events, campaigns, and community initiatives, including accurate member data capture
  • Live the BodyRok mission and values in your daily interactions
Compensation
This is an hourly position with a base hourly rate plus commission on every sale you complete. Your earning potential grows with the relationships you build and the results you deliver. Benefits will be available for Full Time employees.
What You'll Bring
  • 1 to 2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of MindBody software experience preferred
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and for creating memorable experiences
  • A friendly, warm, and welcoming personality; easy to talk to and comfortable around new people
  • A patient, empathetic listener with a can-do attitude
  • Competitive drive to succeed in a commission-based, performance-driven culture
  • Knowledge of sales practices and techniques
  • An independent, organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • An eye for detail and genuine care for the studio's appearance and cleanliness
  • Availability to work at least 2 weekend days per month
  • Alignment with the BodyRok mission and values
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
  • The employee occasionally sits, walks, kneels, and reaches with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs

  • Must be comfortable interacting with people and making them feel welcome
