Job description

Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)
  • Promote a safe,cooperativeand professional health care environment to ensureoptimumpatient care.
  • Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures,rulesand regulations, including but not limited to absenteeism, cellular telephone usage, dresscodeand rules of conduct.
  • Makes customer service a priority, treating customers (patients,visitorsand co-workers) in a professional manner exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively communicates with patients and others about RUMC services in their area(s) of expertise or responsibility and ensures that concerns,questionsor issues reach the right person(s) in RUMC ina timelyfashion.
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Participates in alteration and construction work.
  • Packs and replaces valves, laysoutand installs cast iron and copper lines.
  • Hooks up and installs new plumbing fixtures and pertinent equipment.
  • Replaces sinks, tubs, showers, vent lines and drains, water lines, medical gasoutletand lift fixtures.
  • Capable to work on copper, galvanized, black and plastic pipes; cansolder and braze.
  • Performs alljob relatedduties asrequired.
  • Completes assigned work orders.
  • Maintains work area and equipment ina cleanand good workingcondition.
  • Reports unsafe or irregular conditions to the maintenance manager.
  • Must clean their work areas at the end of each workday.
  • Confirm required risk assessments and protective measures are in place and are in place and are following our ceiling removal policy, shut down procedures

Qualifications:

A. Education Required - High School diploma or Vocational School training. Courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing or related preferred.

B. License(s) Required - None

C. Experience/Skills Required - At least two (2) years as Plumber Mechanic performing in alteration and renovation work. Two (2)years experienceto qualify.

D. Attend THE JOINT COMMISSION annual facility-wide training, departmental in-servicetrainingand pertinent safety training.

Monday - Friday, weekends as needed, 7:30a - 3:30p

Salary Range: $36.30/hr - $37.14/hr
