Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create efficient and reusable user experiences that drive complex web applications
  • Participate in the design of user experience and interfaces
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers to deliver compelling user facing products
  • Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
  • Continually improve your skills and explore new technologies
  • Mentor junior engineers on software development best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience designing and architecting web application with complex workflows
  • 3+ years with Ruby on Rails, or another modern web application framework (Django, Express, etc) and an interest in developing deep Ruby knowledge
  • Significant JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience
  • Experience with popular libraries and APIs such as jQuery, D3, ReactJS, AngularJS, and NodeJS build tools and pipelines
  • Familiarity with message queues and asynchronous job architectures
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux system command line tools

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

o Develop data driven price recommendations using price benchmarking data, econometric analysis, and pricing best practices

o Collaborates with Food & Beverage Chief Financial Officer and Enterprise Analytics on statistical modeling and impact tracking to support pricing strategy and initiatives

o Conducts extensive pricing research and data analysis to make recommendations on how to best position company in the marketplace to grow market share

o Develop impact estimates for pricing strategies and initiatives

o Present on strategic plans, analysis, and recommendations to Senior Leadership and other relevant key stakeholders to gain buy-in and necessary approvals for implementation

o Provide timely and accurate updates on performance of key initiatives and upcoming changes in pricing to all relevant key stakeholders

o Collaborates with Director of F&B Brand Marketing to connect promotions and offers to target customer segments

o Partners with Data Governance and Master Database Management to implement controls and standard operating procedures to ensure results are sustainable

o Strategically identifies and recommends innovation opportunities and technology solutions to maximize sales volume and profit in food and beverage

o Maintain adherence to policies and procedures as set forth by the company relating to employment, environmental health and safety as well as laws relating to the operation of food, beverage and guest room facilities

o Achieve service, financial, and human resource goals set forth by company executives

o Completes additional special projects and complete other job-related duties as assigned
