Rubber Lining Technician

REMA Tip Top North America is seeking an experienced Rubber Lining Technician to join our team in Madison, GA. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, values safety, and enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

As a Rubber Lining Technician, you'll help protect critical equipment used in mining, aggregates, power generation, and other heavy industries by installing high-quality rubber lining systems that extend equipment life and improve performance.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, sandblasting, and other surface preparation methods.
  • Install cured and uncured rubber lining systems on tanks, pipes, valves, chutes, vessels, and other industrial equipment.
  • Perform rubber lining repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Operate grinders, buffers, rollers, and other rubber lining tools and equipment.
  • Perform spark testing and quality inspections to identify defects or faulty seams.
  • Assist with vulcanization processes, including autoclave and steam curing when required.
  • Complete job documentation, including labor, materials, and project details.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company, OSHA, and MSHA safety standards and procedures.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to perform field service work.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Rubber Lining Technician or in industrial rubber lining required.
  • Experience working in mining, aggregates, construction, power generation, or heavy industrial environments is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using industrial hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety standards is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and industrial environments.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as projects require.
