Job description

Find your line at Mt. Hood Meadows, where we turn passion into purpose by delivering unforgettable experiences in one of the Pacific Northwest's most stunning mountain settings. We believe in creating moments that matter - for our guests, for each other, and for the community. Apply today and join a team that fully embodies the mountain lifestyle.
Position Overview
Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is seeking an exceptional hospitality leader to serve as its next General Manager. Nestled on the north side of Mt. Hood, Cooper Spur is a one-of-a-kind destination that combines a boutique mountain lodge, restaurant, weddings and events, overnight accommodations, recreation, and a family-friendly ski area into a truly unique guest experience.
This is far more than a traditional General Manager role. As the leader of both Cooper Spur Mountain Resort and Cooper Spur Ski Area operations, you will guide every aspect of the business; from culinary excellence and guest hospitality to lodging, events, facilities, and financial performance. You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team while remaining hands-on in the operation, helping shape memorable guest experiences and fostering a culture where team members thrive.
We're looking for a leader who is as comfortable developing long-term business strategy as they are stepping into the restaurant during a busy dinner service, walking the property to identify operational improvements, meeting with a wedding client, or mentoring department leaders. Success in this role requires sound business judgment, strong financial acumen, operational excellence, and perhaps most importantly a genuine passion for hospitality.
This is an opportunity to build on Cooper Spur's momentum and help define its future. You'll have the autonomy to drive innovation, grow revenue, strengthen community relationships, elevate the guest experience, and lead a destination that continues to evolve while preserving the character and authenticity that make Cooper Spur so special.
If you're an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, solving complex operational challenges, and creating exceptional experiences for guests and employees alike, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a full-time, benefitted, year-round position
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in hospitality, culinary/restaurant, or resort operations - including catering and events - with profit-and-loss accountability and a successful record of financial performance.
  • Experience in all aspects of culinary services operations and management, with the willingness to be hands-on in the operation.
  • Minimum age 21 (required for the management and service of alcohol under OLCC).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving insurance requirements.
  • SERV Safe Manager Certification and OLCC Service Permit (or ability to obtain both within 30 days of hire).
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours throughout the winter season and during peak events.
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred - see below).
  • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Ski Area Management, or a related field.
  • Experience at a resort, lodge, or high-quality restaurant that also hosts large catered events, weddings, and banquets.

  • Proficiency with point-of-sales and reservation systems (e.g., Micros, RTP) and with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.

Compensation:
  • Wage: $3144 - $3843 gross per bi-weekly pay period

Benefits:
  • Generous employer contribution towards medical plan
  • Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • 401k after 500 hours in 6 months. (Age 21 and Over)
