Job Overview
We are seeking researchers for our real-time information team. You see the opportunity in generating alpha from real-time events. You possess a rational aptitude for interpreting how news originates, disseminates, and affects prices. You are a strategic thinker who can distinguish signal from noise. You have a growth mindset and consistently become faster and smarter. You have potential or credentials at software development or math.
Responsibilities
  • Basic science - Identify market-moving news signals by observation and querying of news and market data.
  • Historical analysis - Catalog, study, and model the market impact of news signals.
  • Scheduled event focus - Create calendar of important events, watch them live.
  • Real-Time monitoring - Watch newsfeeds and alert traders/researchers to time-sensitive updates.
  • Manage automated news alerts - Backtest, stress-test, and deploy high precision/recall automated alerts for themes of interest. Then, pay attention to changing market conditions and update as necessary.
  • Develop market competence - Internalize context and pricing for liquid crypto assets

Requirements
  • Degree in a related field (finance, engineering, math, social science with a concentration on economics/finance), or demonstrable fluency in same
  • Experience using news platforms such as X Pro, Bloomberg Terminal, discord/telegram chats, etc
  • Serious ambition to play a high-stakes, ultra-competitive game
